Adalee wanted to watch it like 2 years ago. I just never got around to writing the review until now. Spoilers.
Katie just like me. She went to camp as a young child and makes short films with her kid brother. The whole relationship between Katie and her dad is really heartwarming to me because I see myself in her shoes.
The animation in this movie is great. It is really smooth and sharp. The ever-so-slight cel shading effect on the Mitchells themselves is really neat. The style is incredible.
The jokes are really funny. They are so simple and clearly made for kids. But they are written so well. They always throw me for a loop and that's good.
I love any movie about how technology is evil. It's the Kaczynski influence. Ironically, Grimes is in the soundtrack. But Grimes is awesome, and "California" is a great song, even if Grimes herself is pro-singularity or w/e.
Aaron does NOT sound like a kid. I feel like I'm Doug Walker watching Gravity Falls. I just can't picture this child as a real child when he has an adult voice.
I like this one. 6/10.
